The North Carolina Zoo

What's this?
Let me try.

Hey look PaPa, we're flying a helicopter.

One of the many statues we climbed on.

Looking at the Gorillas.

See the gorilla taking a nap behind me?

How do they all balance on one foot?

So Daddy had the day off for Good Friday...we decided to take a trip to the zoo. The weather forecast was for thunderstorms in the afternoon so we didn't have much time. We started in Africa first. We didn't bother to bring a stroller because Brady never wants to sit in it anyway...remember Disney World, the stroller was just a place for things we didn't want to carry. There was a lot of carrying and shoulder riding after a while because boy there's a lot of walking at the zoo with only one ride to rest on...the Merry-Go-Round. We of course rode that and wouldn't you know it...it was Ashlyn's favorite part of the day. I guess because we didn't see any hippos. She loves hippos because of Gloria in the movie Madagascar 2. Brady was really into all of the animals, especially trying to feed the elephants. "No Brady, elephants don't want to eat rocks." One of his favorite pastimes is throwing rocks...thankfully not at people. They also liked to stop at all the statues of animals and climb all over them. We never made it to North America because of the dark clouds making their way closer and closer...my feet were grateful. Maybe we will start there next time.

Wii

Play Wii? Brady definitely takes after his Daddy with the love for video games. He is pretty good for a 2 1/2 year old. In this picture he is boxing, but he is really good at the soccer heading game. Ashlyn loves to play too. We just rented the new Hannah Montana game which she is really good at. It requires a lot of dancing so you know Brady has to join in and help. So cute...

Discovery Place

These pictures are from a few weeks ago when Mommy was sick in bed with the stomach flu. Daddy took the kids to the Discovery Place and as you can see they had so much fun. Mommy wishes she could have been there...and so does Daddy. He said it was a little hard trying to watch the both of them. They were running in different directions half the time...just too much to do and see. They are so lucky they have such a wonderful Daddy!
